Meet your chief marshal
Bookings close one week today!!
Did you know you can also sign on to marshal when you book your competition and camping? Well the good news is you can, no getting writers cramp on the weekend https://alrc.co.uk/national-rally/2026-national-rally/
Russell Cook is this years chief Marshall and will be making sure your all in the right place, some information about him below
For those of you who don’t know me, I was born into Midland Rover Owners Club with my father competing in CCV & Comp Safari’s, and held various positions on committee including Chairman during the 1990’s.
I started competing in bike trials as a child, as soon as I got my driving license, I progressed to RTV and quickly after CCV, Comp Safari and Timed Trials. I have always been heavily involved in the club whether it be competing, group leading at the Major’s and organizing competitive events.
I have two roles for this year’s ALRC National, first is Competition Secretary, this is to collaborate and co-ordinate all competitive events prior to the event by being a central point of contact. This involves communicating between all Clerk of Courses to ensure they have all they require, and also with Staffs & Shrops LRC who are kindly running the Comp Safari for us this year.
My second role is that of Chief Marshal, I am responsible for ensuring the event has enough volunteer marshals to run safely and efficiently. As we all know, events do not happen without our volunteers. The earlier I know if someone is able to help out the better, we can plan in advance, rather than begging for volunteers at drivers briefing! So please, if you are able to volunteer to marshal for an event (or multiple), please make it known on your booking form, or contact me directly. You will be provided with a Lunch and the satisfaction that you are making the event happen!
See you all in May!”
