Hello, I’m Martin Wynne and will be one of the Clerk of Course for the National Rally TYRO Event at Stainby. My first introduction to Land Rovers when I was at college. An ex-British Waterways Series 1 107 followed by a Series IIA Lightweight, which I used for pre-ALRC events with Staffs & Shrops LRC in 1978/79; roll-cages were very optional in those days. I’ve recently retired after 34 years in the RAF, during which time I competed with a standard military Land Rover in many of the British Army Motoring Association “Exercise ROADMASTER” long distance off-road navigation events. I joined Leics & Rutland LRC in 1997 and have been competing in RTV and CCV events at Club and ALRC National level for many years since then. I’ve marshalled and been a group leader at National events, but this is my first time as CoC; which I’m looking forward to.
