ALRC Log Book Scrutineers not on the Committee.

To become an ALRC Log Book Scrutineer, applicants should be nominated in the first instance by their club and training will be given to accepted applicants. 

Experience and Qualifications
Preferable attributes for an applicant should be: a qualification as a motor vehicle mechanic or technician or vehicle examiner, preferably with up to date welding experience and qualifications, or, in the absence of these, the applicant works day to day in the motor trade as a fitter or technician with a minimum of five year’s work experience, or has obtained and is qualified with a relevant MSA qualification such as a National B Scrutineer.

Applicants should:

• Have recent regular experience as a Scrutineer at Club level within the last two years.
• Be supportive of and be confident in understanding the ALRC Competition Vehicle Regulations, and applying and explaining the purpose of the regulations. 

• Have an understanding of and the ability to explain the log book process. 

• Have an understanding of the MSA Yearbook rules regarding the scrutineers rejection of a vehicle and the process of a competitor protesting a scrutineers decision. 

• Be prepared to attend the S&ORC meetings held three times a year in March, July and November.
